Charles Rennie Mackintosh
One of the inspirations for my work is the botanical watercolours from Charles Rennie Mackintosh (7 June 1868 – 10 December 1928). I love the way his fine pencil lines define the shapes of the flowers, stems, and leaves. Watercolour fills in the shapes, adding depth and richness to the artwork.

Charles Francis Annesley Voysey (28 May 1857 – 12 February 1941) was an English architect and furniture and textile designer. Voysey was an important textile designer/architect in the Arts and Crafts style/ British Art Nouveau movement. I particular love in his charming and whimsical wallpapers, fabrics and furnishings.

Margaret Mee (1909-1988)
While researching botanical illustrations and art, I came across the beautiful work of Margaret Mee. Margaret Mee was a English botanical artist and a conservationist. She travelled and lived in the Amazon Forest, Brazil in 1952 (aged 42).
