Paule Marrot (1902-1987)
I was exploring French textile designs recently on Pinterest and came across some beautiful textiles and textile artworks from Paule Marrot (1902-1987)

Kōwhai illustration
One of my favourite native New Zealand trees is the Kōwhai tree. It gets its name from the bright yellow flowers that bloom in the spring. Kōwhai, is the te reo Māori (Māori language) for yellow.

Salvador Dali, Fleurs, 1948
I came across some of Salvador Dali’s work that featured flowers. I love the mix of watery bold brushstrokes paired with fine, detailed line strokes. They have a whimsical nature to them which I like. These works have been an inspiration in my own botanical art.
