One of my artist influence is the American artist Helen Frankenthaler (1928–2011). I admire her experimental approach to printmaking. She has been renounced for breaking the rules of traditional printmaking. I also love her playful confident use of colour. I read recently her first museum retrospective was curated by a poet I also admire, Frank O’Hara, at the Jewish Museum in New York (read more here).
